Fairchild Air Force Base

Air Mobility Command (AMC) is responsible for Fairchild AFB, WA. Realign Fairchild AFB through the following actions:

1. Distribute the KC-135R/T aircraft assigned to the 141st Air Refueling Wing Air National Guard (ANG), Fairchild AFB to meet the Primary Aircraft Authorization requirements established by the Base Closure and Realignment recommendations of the Secretary of Defense, as amended by the Defense Base Closure and Realignment Commission. The Air National Guard is responsible for this move. 

2. * A classic association will be established between the 141st Air Refueling Wing (ANG) and the 92d Air Refueling Wing at Fairchild AFB.  AMC is responsible for establishing this association.

3. Receive Mann Hall Army Reserve Center, Area Maintenance Support Shop #80, and Walker Army Reserve Center, Spokane, WA, at a new consolidated Armed Forces Reserve Center and Organizational Maintenance Shop on Fairchild Air Force Base. The new Armed Forces Reserve Center shall have the capability to accommodate units from the following Washington Army National Guard (ARNG) facilities: Washington ARNG Armory and Organizational Maintenance Shop, Geiger Field, WA, if the state decides to relocate those units. The Army is responsible for this move in cooperation with AMC.

4. The 256th Combat Communications Squadron and 242d Combat Communications Squadron, ANG geographically separated units at Four Lakes, WA, and Spokane, WA, are relocated to Fairchild AFB. The Air National Guard is responsible for this move.

McChord Air Force Base

Air Mobility Command (AMC) is responsible for McChord AFB, WA. Realign McChord AFB through the following actions:

1. Relocate installation management functions from McChord AFB to Fort Lewis, WA, to establish Joint Base Lewis-McChord.  AMC is responsible for this move in cooperation with the Army. 

2. Reorganize and relocate McChord AFB medical functions as directed by the Commander, Madigan Army Medical Center, Fort Lewis, WA. AMC is responsible for this move in cooperation with Air Force Surgeon General and the Army.
