Gen. Close assumes command of Ogden Air Logistics Center Published June 22, 2007 HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah -- Brig. Gen. Kathleen Close (middle) accepts command of Ogden Air Logistics Center from the officiating officer, Lt. Gen. Terry Gabreski, Air Force Materiel Command vice commander, during a change of command ceremony here June 19. General Close will oversee an organization whose mission includes depot maintenance, purchasing and supply chain management, weapons system management and readiness. Prior to this assignment, General Close was the Director of Maintenance within the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Installations and Mission Support, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C. General Close succeeds Lt. Gen. Kevin Sullivan, who was promoted to his current rank prior to the start of the change of command ceremony. He is becoming the Deputy Chief of Staff, Installations, Logistics, and Mission Support, at Headquarters U.S. Air Force.
