Attendees work through one of the real property scenarios offered during the week-long course.
As the Air Force Real Property Center of Excellence, AFRPA provides training, tools and resources to help Air Force real property professionals throughout the Air Force deliver top-tier support for the warfighter. The Advanced Realty Course, sponsored by AFRPA's Real Estate Transactions Division, is the most recent addition to the AFRPA training curriculum.
The week-long course is designed to help real property professionals sharpen skills and develop tools to better manage Air Force property assets, said Brian Brown, Chief of AFRPA's Real Estate Transactions division.
"The ARC trains experienced Air Force installation-level realty specialists in all aspects of real property transactions," Mr. Brown said. "The course provides advanced knowledge while promoting collaboration between AFRPA, the MAJCOMs and the installations."
The RET team hosted a "beta" course May 9 to 13 in San Antonio to test and adjust the content of the ARC before offering an open course June 13 to 17 at the Hotel Contessa in San Antonio. Representatives from Air Force Space Command, Air Force Materiel Command, Air Force Global Strike Command, Air Force Reserve Command, Pacific Air Force Command, Air Education and Training Command, A7CAI, and AFRPA's Real Property Management and Real Estate Transactions divisions helped refine the training during the beta sessions.
MAJCOM participation in the beta sessions was critical to ensuring the ARC class in June achieves its educational and professional targets. "You are developing a legacy of professionalism here this week," AFRPA Director, Robert Moore, told the participants. "You are the experts setting the leadership standard and the bar of professionalism for the future."
