7/9/2009 - San Antonio, Texas -- With thousands of acres of undeveloped real estate in prime locations across the nation, the Air Force is hosting an industry forum for developers interested in creating commercial projects at Air Force installations.
The Air Force Real Property Agency's 2009 Enhanced Use Lease Industry Forum is set for Aug. 5 and 6 at the Westin Waterfront Hotel in Boston. Air Force real property professionals will showcase several potential commercial development projects, including alternative energy opportunities. "The Air Force has land to develop, and we're ready to create the next great EUL success stories," said Dennis Guadarrama, the chief of AFRPA's Strategic Utilization Division. "Not only have we identified great potential real estate and energy development opportunities, but we've also listened to our developer partners and improved our process so it's easier to work with us to bring these projects to reality."
The agenda for the event includes:
- Meet key Air Force real estate officials during an icebreaker Aug. 5;
- Learn how to craft competitive proposals;
- See commercial real estate and alternative energy development prospects;
- Explore EUL process improvements that accelerate review and leasing;
- Network with developers, Air Force decision makers, community leaders and other stakeholders.
