Welcome to the Air Force Office of Energy Assurance

OEA Logo Welcome to the U.S. Air Force Office of Energy Assurance (OEA). The office was established in February 2016 by the Secretary of the Air Force and Chief of Staff to serve as the single point of entry for all strategic energy and resiliency initiatives. OEA serves as the facilitator and integrator of energy assurance efforts and acts as "resilience advocates" by ensuring projects align with installation needs and with the three strategic goals of the Air Force Energy Flight Plan - improve resiliency, optimize demand, and assure supply. As such, OEA partners with defense and federal agencies, industry and communities to develop innovative, technology-neutral solutions that defend against cyber, natural and physical challenges.

As the Air Force Energy Storefront, OEA works to balance the objectives of an installation’s energy initiatives while optimizing cost and providing resilient energy solutions in support of the Air Force mission.

OEA operates as the Air Force Energy Storefront by:

  • Serving as the single point of entry for all installation energy requirements.
  • Acting as the facilitator and integrator to maximize assurance and track execution with appropriate Air Force organizations.
  • Integrating energy assurance into the Air Force installation energy project portfolio by leveraging public, private and community partnerships.

OEA’s holistic strategy for energy management helps shape installation resilience across the country, and in turn, enhance the Air Force mission.

Visit Work with OEA for more information on partnership and engagement opportunities.

In spring 1970, #EarthDay was established to create awareness for keeping our #planet clean and sustainable for life. Join AFCEC in building cleaner, greener installations and cities by making #energy a consideration and rethink everyday actions and look for ways to save energy, #water, and other resources.
Today is #EarthDay, AFCEC has been leading the way in recognizing the importance conserving today to preserve tomorrow. The men and women of AFCEC include subject matter experts in various fields of environmental operations to ensure the protection of the environment, conserving resources and preventing pollution to preserve the natural resources necessary to conduct #USAF missions.
Yum! Yum! A lot of stomachs—and hearts—are full now thanks to some of AFCEC’s own beloved retired military! In a gathering before work this morning, the retirees treated all AFCEC-Tyndall personnel to a free pancake breakfast to foster camaraderie and to allow folks an opportunity to share Hurricane Michael recovery stories. It has been just over 6 months since the massive storm did major damage to Tyndall Air Force Base as well as many homes and businesses in the northwest Florida area. This is one of the three times each year the AFCEC retirees serve meals like this epitomizing the Air Force’s core value of service before self. #AFCEC #BattleReadyBuiltRight #150ishServed
Happy 71st Birthday to the Air Force Reserve, we appreciate our #ReserveCitizenAirmen whom not only support the #USAF mission, but support the AFCEC mission day-to-day at home and abroad. In honor of the #AirForceReserveBirthday, the USO rounded up nine need-to-know facts about the #AFReserve, check out the link below: https://www.uso.org/stories/2347-9-things-you-need-to-know-about-the-air-force-reserve-in-honor-of-its-71st-anniversary
The Operations Management Force Development team is working on Air Force Qualification Training Packages that will assist supervisors in training personnel who are pursuing upgrade in core tasks for 5 and 7 skill levels. This is a week-long development project for AFCEC Tyndall Air Force Base with SMEs from across the enterprise.
Jose Hurtado, AFCEC Environmental Restoration Program Manager, was one of the distinguished judges last week at the inaugural Texas Science and Engineering Fair, hosted by Texas A&M University Engineering. The fair showcased more than 1,200 projects in the fields of #science, #technology, #engineering and #mathematics done by junior high and high school students across the country. #STEM

As flood waters recede at Offutt Air Force Base, AFCEC's Airfield Pavement Evaluation team works to test and evaluate the conditions and capabilities of the base's airfield. The APE team diverted from New Mexico to assist the base, so it can get back to flightline operations.
Innovation starts here! AFCEC director Mr. Terry Edwards is on-site this week strategizing with the three AFCEC-Tyndall directorates—readiness, operations, and energy—focused on the ultimate goal of delivering enhanced Warfighter capability. These intense immersions with directorate leadership and staff ensure AFCEC’s war-winning innovations remain #BattleReadyBuiltRight!
