DoDI 6055.01, DoD Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) Program

 

Air Force Policy Directive (AFPD) 90-8, Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health Management and Risk Management

 

This AFPD implements Department of Defense Directive 4715.1E, Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health, Department of Defense Instruction (DoDI), 4715.17, Environmental Management Systems, DoDI 4715.18, Emerging Contaminants (ECS) of Environmental Concern, DoDI 6055.01, Department of Defense Safety and Occupational Health Program, and is in accordance with Headquarters Air Force Mission Directive (HAF MD) 1-18, Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (Installations, Environment, and Energy).This AFPD defines and establishes policy for environment, safety, and occupational health and risk management programs. It directs the environmental, safety, and occupational health functional offices to implement guidance across the enterprise.

 

Air Force Instruction (AFI) 90-801, Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health Councils This instruction implements AFPD 90-8, Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health Management and Risk Management, by establishing Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health (ESOH) Councils at Headquarters Air Force, major commands, and at installations to ensure a systematic, inter-disciplinary approach to achieve ESOH goals throughout the Air Force.

AFPD 91-1, Nuclear Weapons and Systems Surety

This Directive implements Department of Defense Directive 3150.02, Department of Defense Nuclear Weapons Surety Program. It also establishes the Air Force Nuclear Surety Program. This Directive provides policies for managing nuclear weapons and weapon systems, and for protecting personnel, property, and the environment from hazardous exposure to radioactive materials.

AFI 91-101, Air Force Nuclear Weapons Surety Program This instruction outlines general responsibilities for the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Surety Program and defines implementing requirements.

Air Force Manual (AFMAN) 91-118, Safety Design and Evaluation Criteria for Nuclear Weapon Systems This manual implements AFI 91-101, Air Force Nuclear Weapons Surety Program and can be found in the 91-series section of the e-publishing website.

AFPD 91-2, Safety Programs

This directive describes the necessary overarching structure, including policies, roles and responsibilities that enable the Air Force to manage its safety programs efficiently and effectively to allow the identification and mitigation of hazards, investigation of reportable mishaps, prevention of mishaps, and provide necessary safety training.

AFI 91-202, The U.S. Air Force Mishap Prevention Program This publication establishes mishap prevention program requirements, assigns responsibilities for program elements and contains program management information.

AFMAN 91-201, Explosives Safety Standards This manual establishes Air Force policy for explosives safety criteria, identifies hazards, and states safety precautions and rules when working with explosives and can be found in the 91-series section of the e-publishing website.

AFMAN 91-203, Air Force Occupational Safety, Fire and Health Standards This manual implements AFPD 91-2, Safety Programs, and parts of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 29 Code of Federal Regulations, and includes additional requirements not addressed by the OSHA standard and can be found in the 91-series section of the e-publishing website.

DAFI 91-204, Safety Investigation and Hazard Reporting This publication provides guidance that is common to investigating and reporting of all United States Air Force safety events

DAFI 91-225, Aviation Safety Programs This publication prescribes guidance and responsibilities for United States Air Force employment of data-driven, proactive aviation safety programs.
