Joint Base Andrews Naval Air Facility Washington unveiled
Colonel Steven M. Shepro, 316th Wing/Joint Base Andrews commander, left, and Navy Capt. Timothy Fox, Naval Air Facility Washington commanding officer, right, unveil the Joint Team Andrews logo during a Joint Base ceremony held at Hangar 3 Thursday. The event signified the unification of Andrews Air Force Base and Naval Air Facility Washington, and renamed the installation as Joint Base Andrews Naval Air Facility Washington. Among the official guests in attendance were Maj. Gen. Ralph J. Jodice II, Air Force District of Washington commander, Rear. Adm. Julius S. Caesar, Navy Installation Command Reserve deputy commander, and Navy Capt. Catherine Hanft, Naval Support Activity South Potomac commanding officer. The logo, designed by Airman 1st Class Kat Lynn Justen, 316 WG public affairs specialist, signifies the diverse missions of Joint Team Andrews and the role of the installation in the National Capital Region.
